Mobile friendly gallery with PhotoSwipe

So far I’ve been a big fan of the SimpleViewer, because of its visual simplicity and its plugin for Lightroom. But unfortunately it is flash-based and a no-no for the world of iOS browsing.

After some researching I found PhotoSwipe: a flash-free and cost-free slideshow engine specifically for mobile browsing. It took just a little bit of html/css tinkering to adjust it to my liking, but I’m quite excited about the result so far. My first mobile centric slideshow: Check out the result in action!

Does anybody know how to code this into a Lightroom plugin? ; )

Mixed Martial Arts fight at the Asian Heritage Street Celebration (San Francisco, CA - May 2011)

Back in May I volunteered as a photographer at the Asian Heritage Street Celebration. The Muay Thai and Mixed Martial Arts fights were very popular and the outdoor setting in downtown San Francisco with the harsh sun light gave it a unique atmosphere.

Being able to watch and document the action from up close was great and I was surprised at how different the fights appeared from this perspective. The excitement of the crowd and the intensity of the fighters were really fascinating.
