South Korea
It’s been 18 years since my last vacation to South Korea. This visit helped refresh some good memories and reconnect with family and friends. Their extremely generous hospitality was almost too much, but nonetheless very charming, of course.
Also, there’s been sooo much yummy Korean food - I stuffed myself repeatedly passed the pain threshold.
Now, we’re finally leaving for warm weather: Heading for Bali with a quick one day stop-over in Singapore.
Oharanosato Ryokan in rural Kyoto and 9hour capsule hotel in downtown (October/November 2010 - Kyoto, Japan)
Japan has been a blast!
Crazy contrasts of a multifaceted culture. Traditional Inn (Onsen Ryokan) in rural Kyoto vs. SciFi style capsule hotel in bustling downtown.
Tokyo is overwhelmingly big and busy. But also incredibly fascinating and addicting. For “some” reason we ended up inside a MUJI store almost every single day.
Now we are off to Seoul, Korea!

We went out sailing on Sam’s boat and lingered off shore while the setting sun created a gorgeous sky. I’m gonna miss this! (October 2010, Santa Barbara, CA)
